Start Your Walk Back to Christ

No matter how far you've wandered, the path home is always open. Here are seven steps to help you take that first step back.

1

Acknowledge Where You Are

God already knows your heart. You don't need to clean yourself up first — just come honestly. Admit that you've drifted and that you want to find your way back. That honesty is the beginning of everything.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28
2

Believe He Still Wants You

The enemy's greatest lie is that you've gone too far. But the parable of the prodigal son shows a father who runs toward his returning child. God is not waiting to condemn you — He is waiting to embrace you.

"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him." — Luke 15:20
3

Pray — Even If It Feels Awkward

You don't need perfect words. A simple, honest prayer is enough. Tell God where you are, what you've done, and that you want to come home. He hears every word.

"Call to me and I will answer you." — Jeremiah 33:3
4

Open the Word

Start with the Gospel of John. Read slowly, a chapter at a time. Let the words land. The Bible is not a rulebook — it is a love letter from the God who made you.

"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." — Psalm 119:105
5

Find a Community

Faith was never meant to be walked alone. Find a local church or small group where you can be honest, ask questions, and grow alongside others who are also on the journey.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." — Hebrews 10:24
6

Be Patient With Yourself

Restoration is a process, not a single moment. There will be hard days. That is normal. What matters is that you keep turning back toward Him, one day at a time.

"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion." — Philippians 1:6
7

Let Someone Walk With You

You don't have to figure this out alone. Submit a prayer request, reach out to us, or share your story. We are here — not to judge, but to walk alongside you.

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." — Galatians 6:2

A Simple Prayer to Begin

Lord, I've been away. I don't have the right words, and I'm not sure I deserve to come back — but I know You said the door is always open. I'm tired of carrying this alone. I want to come home. Forgive me for where I've fallen short. Help me take the next step. I trust You with what comes next. Amen.
